Looking to Test for Radon?
Our focus is exclusively on the reducing known radon levels in homes. We do not perform initial radon testing, but we are here to help point you in the right direction.
A short-term test measures radon levels for two-four days. Short-term radon test kits are available to purchase online, at your local hardware store or through your regional Radon Information Center. Cost: $10-$30.

We highly recommend contacting your regional Radon Information Center (RIC) first. These centers often provide kits at a reduced cost or even for free through local public health programs. Many RIC kits also include pre-paid laboratory analysis. RIC staff are professionally trained in radon measurement and can provide expert guidance for any questions you may have.

Hiring a certified radon measurement professional is another option. This option is more expensive but can be beneficial when testing larger buildings or childcare centers. If you are testing for a real estate transaction, a qualified third party must conduct the testing.

Interested in long-term monitoring? Did you know that radon levels change all the time, even within a single day? There are radon monitors available that can help you accurately track these fluctuations in real-time. Visit our Radon Monitoring page for a list of our recommended continuous radon monitor devices for consumers.
